FAQs
What are the steps to rent a dumpster?
Start by getting in touch to tell us about your project and what you're tossing. Then, select the dumpster size you need and schedule a delivery date. Once it arrives, simply load the dumpster as you work, then reach out for pickup by call, text, email or online request — it's that easy.
What is the dumpster delivery window?
We can usually deliver a dumpster within five business days of placing your order. Our exact timeline depends on the availability of containers when you schedule. To ensure you get a bin when you need it, we recommend reaching out ahead of your project's start date to get the dumpster in time.
Why do dumpster prices vary?
Our dumpster prices fluctuate for a number of reasons including location, debris type, availability, rental period, waste weight and facility fees. We'll ask you a few questions at the time of your order so we can provide an upfront, bundled quote and you can budget efficiently.
Do I need to get a permit from the city?
A permit from the city is only required if you want to place the container in a public right-of-way, such as the street or sidewalk. Contact the city to apply for a Temporary Occupancy of Right-of-Way Permit. You don't need one if you place the bin on private property.
Where does my dumpster's trash go?
We take our dumpsters to a variety of landfills in the area like the Pitsch Transfer Station, located at 675 Richmond Street NW.
Are there any items I can’t toss in my dumpster?
Yes, we do not allow flammable, toxic and hazardous waste in our dumpsters for the safety of you and the environment. There may be additional restrictions on other debris types depending on your exact location and container type. Our team will go over any specific restrictions when you reach out to order.
Could I be charged an overage fee?
Yes, you can be charged an overage fee if you overfill the dumpster. We recommend filling the bin to about six inches below the top of the dumpster to avoid an additional charge. Heavier debris can cause you to exceed the limit even if the bin isn't filled to capacity, but don't worry — we'll go over any questions you have when you order.
Is a dumpster rental better than curbside collection?
Yes, especially if you're working on a large-scale project. A dumpster rental is a great option to conveniently toss your household clutter and construction waste at your own pace. Plus, you can get rid of everything at the same time instead of waiting for bulk collection dates.
