What size dumpster do I need?
The right size depends on the scope of your project and the type of debris. Debris from smaller cleanouts and yard work usually fits in a 10, 12 or 15 yard dumpster, while larger renovations or full cleanouts often need a 20, 30 or 40 yard container. If you’re unsure, our dumpster size guide can help match your project to the right option.
What can't I put in a dumpster?
Prohibited items include hazardous materials such as paint, chemicals, batteries, tires and medical waste. These can’t go in a dumpster because they pose safety or environmental risks and must go to designated facilities or city collection programs instead. Some landfills also restrict mattresses and box springs or charge a fee to cover extra processing. Reach out to our team if you have questions about what's OK to toss.
How does dumpster delivery and pickup work?
We use a roll off truck to deliver your dumpster to the spot you choose. For home projects, your driveway is typically ideal, while a designated waste disposal area is great for commercial projects. We need 60 feet of flat, paved space and 23 to 25 feet of vertical clearance to ensure a smooth delivery. Once your bin’s on-site, you can fill it at your own pace. When you’re finished, schedule a pickup online and we’ll haul everything away for you.
Where can I find dumpster rental guides for contractors?
Our contractor resources can point you in the right direction. We also offer disposal guidance for roofing projects, demolition and solar energy jobs. Our dedicated account management makes the rental process smooth whether you're working in one spot or multiple locations.
