How can I prepare for dumpster delivery?
To prepare for dumpster delivery, just make sure your drop off-location is clear and accessible to our driver. We typically deliver dumpsters between 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekdays, but this depends on your location and our availability, so you don't need to be present for delivery.
If you'd like to mark an exact delivery spot for our driver, you're welcome to put down plywood, cones or other indicators, but it's not necessary.
How can I prepare for dumpster pickup?
To prepare for dumpster pickup, please make sure your dumpster is accessible and not overloaded with debris. Nothing should be sticking out the top or sides of the bin. Move any cars and open gates to ensure our driver can easily pick up your dumpster and drive away.
You don't need to be present for dumpster pickup as your dumpster can be removed at any time throughout the day.
How do I calculate the weight of my debris?
If you're worried about your roll off dumpster weight limit, our weight calculators can help.
Is there anything I can't throw in my dumpster?
Yes, common prohibited items include tires, batteries, paint, household cleaners, flammable materials, adhesives and food waste. You can never throw hazardous waste in a dumpster. Restricted items can vary by location, so always check your service agreement for a list of prohibited items in your area. If you're still not sure about a specific item, please don't hesitate to call our team of experts.
Should I expect any additional charges after my dumpster is picked up?
Dumpsters.com works hard to ensure that all costs for your dumpster and its transportation are covered in your upfront price. However, there are a few instances where an additional dumpster rental fee can be charged if the terms of our service agreement are broken. For example, if a dumpster exceeds the agreed-upon weight limit or if a dumpster is overfilled, overage charges may apply. See a full list of dumpster rental fees and how to avoid them.
